Lily On the Island is a novel about how a girl who experiences deceptionn in a relationship gradually recover from depression and meet new individuals and began her new life. Lily, is an English teacher of a university in the Island where she and her families live, met an Arab boy and fell in love. They were together for four years and left many mutual memories. Lily was alway happy when she was together with his boyfriend until she knew that his boyfriend had a wife in Arab and would never reture. On that moment, her heart seems to be stabbed. Then she was troubled by deep depression and lost her job. Fortunately, her mother always accompany her and try to heal her. In those dark days, she wrote every day to release her emotion. She wrote bisexual stories about that Arab boy and imagined countless lifestyles of him. Eventually, she recovered and find new job to embrace new life.
In this story, Lily fall ill because of love, while she was also a lucky patient and was cured by love eventually. One of the most random thing to say is that love is both fatal weapon and effective medicine, which embodies well in this novel. people often will fall in love with some when they grow up and sometimes be hurt be the one they love deeply.
