As the second princess of the Lavania, Arianna is doomed to shoulder the responsibility of revitalizing the empire. Just as most of members born in royal family, she doesn't have the freedom to choose her husband. It's difficult to say whether it's lucky to be a princess in an empire. Although they are both born in the royal family, her elder sister can't understand her feeling because she has also been arranged to marry a man whom she hadn't known about and she lives happily with her husband after their marriage. He is tender to her, while Arianna doesn't love him and would like to marry him just because of her father's order. At the night when her engagement ceremony is held, she feels suffocated and find a reason to ecape from the scene at a moment. Unconsciously, she goes to the library and finds a book with a dusty cover. Then a guard told her that an angel can be summoned through magic of the book.
In spite of doubt, Arianna is determined to try summoning an angel to protect her and avoid this marriage. however, unexpected things happen, a demon should be summoned by her. The demon doesn't hurt Arianna and agree to help her but she need to do two things for him. Then the story about Arianna and the demon Damian begins. There is no doubt that it is one of best books with magic and romance and more interesting plots are narrated here.
The following is something that I think of in the process of read and want to share with other readers. There is no perfect life style. If you have enjoy more freedom on some things, then you may lose freedom on other things, just like Arianna. Why does she would rather belong to the demon lord? Because she doesn't love the prince who is arranged to marry her. Just as the saying, love is the most magical thing because it needn't any reasons. The prince behaves as a gentleman while Demian is far from a gentleman. While Arianna prefer Demian than the prince. Her elder sister always understand things from her own perspective, but she didn't know that she just is the luky one who can cultivate love with the man she doesn't know about before their marriage.
